Today user Darkstormers shares two lovely CS-related poems!
There once was a land...

There once was a land, where chickens were smoothies,
there once was a land where the pets roamed free.
There once was a land where everything was nice,
and one of the citizens was me!
Chicken Smoothies are my favorite!

Chicken Smoothies are my favorite,
Drink 'em everyday!
Once you taste it you will see,
they don't taste like bumblebee!
Oh yes, yes you see!
Now don't you want to join with me?

                                      Chapter One
                                        . Claire .
I looked out my car door covered in pure white snow. It was only summer a few weeks ago but now it felt like winter. I felt a
gust of wind brisk against the back of my neck sending a shiver down to
 my back.

I looked at the school from my review mirror. Big, made of bricks, more responsibilities, more chances, and more challenges. I parked the car parrelle In the parking lot and grabbed my school bag and placed it around my shoulder, sighing as I did so. I retied my boots and readjusted my beanie that was falling from my head of light brown hair. I shut the car door and headed towards the school. Watching as parents drove by dropping their kids off and the smirks of the kids faces. I stood against a brick wall waiting for Nathan to come walking up with his brother Braden. He'd hug me and tell me how much he missed me since he was gone for the entire summer in Minnisota. I caught a snowflake in the palm of my hand covered by my gloves. I watched as it melt before me. My blue eyes watching the process. I saw a pick up truck come roaring down the street with Nathan in the driver's seat and Braden in the passanger's seat. I smiled and waved. I watched as he parked the car and slammed the car's door as he walked up to me. His brown hair covering his face as he jogged to keep warm. I dusted off some snow of the sole of my boot and tapped it against the pavement. He came up to me smiling grinning his hands in his pockets his cheeks flushed by the weather. I ran up to him and we walked into the giant school and searched for our lockers a cup of hot steaming coffee in hand. " So how was your Summer?" I asked as I scratched the back of my neck my hands cold against my skin. "Good, although I got sun burnt really bad on my shoulder." I laughed even when he said things that weren't even funny hearing his voice made them seem that way. The clock ticked and ticked while we walked down the halls smiling and holding our hands together. " How was yours?" My cheeks blushed I saw his began to blush to. "Good. Although I didn't burn my shoulder." Balto smirked and laughed he knew I was just messing with him. It was our system. He said something un funny and I made a joke about it to him. Same thing happened to me if I said something not worth telling I would get joked. I placed both my hands around the rim of my coffee to keep them warm from the cold. I rested my head against his not burnt shoulder and sighed I felt like closing my eyes but I was in school and I would get a detention for thinking that I kissed Balto which I wanted to and I had. My ears rang as I heard the school bell ring for passing period.

                                           Chapter Two
                                             . Nathan .
I watched her as she ran off to her class, papers falling out of her binder along the way. I sighed and ran my fingers through my brown hair and rocked back in my desk. I heard the tapping and scrapping noise as the teacher wrote on the board with a marker. I kicked my feet under my desk as I listened to her instructions to the class. I looked up at the ceiling imagining Claire and I running through the Golden Wood behind her house. Me strumming my guitar singing about her. And her leaning her head against my shoulder our legs crossed and tangled together. A notebook in her lap a pencil sitting balanced on it. That was what I wanted to be happy and free. But no matter what I tried it never worked. I wrote down a section of lyrics that had played through my head as I just zoned out of class. The teacher was still getting used to everyone's names and had not yet called on mine but I had a feeling it was coming soon. Minutes past by on the clock, algebra written in all different kinds of languages written on the board and in my notebook. So I had been paying attention.
