Another pound story from Monotaire. :)
I waited desperately, watching people crowd around the pound door. This pet I might get would be my latest addition to my family. I knew whatever pet I got would go well in my favorites. We all counted down to the final second. "3...2...1!" Every shouted and shoved their way in. I had a good feeling about this adoption today. Walking slowly and taking a good look at most pets, I thought about every one I saw.
People were shoving be back to got to a sun back I had missed. I was constantly being pushed around carelessly. Tess and nick had their hands full in line. I was still stumbling back when My foot hit something cold and hard. I turned around to see what it was. It was a cage, with the prettiest dog in it. "Now, that's one cute dog..." I said to myself.
People were rushing past me already. "I will take you." I opened the door to the dog cage and lifted the dog up. He was a very beautiful dog, will brown, and, and maple swirls all over him. He even had some Firefly like dots on him. Without looking at the tag on the cage, I adopted hi a me brought him home. "Hmmm.... I will name you... Crumbles."
He barked.
"Crumbles." I smiled.
