I double check my watch, and smile, it says 11:59 April 30th, just one more minute. My shoulders sag tiredly, in case I fell asleep waiting I set an alarm at the time. I close my eyes for second and my alarms goes off. I jerk my eyes open and the doors are open. The pet emporium smells like sanitizer as I stroll through it. In a few cages sit pets I've never seen before and some very special second gens. I scoop my hand into the small cage and pick up the pets I want. Last I head to the horse cage and pick out 15 little babies. One seems different than the others instead of spots and brown it has stripes. Since it didn't seem like a big deal at the time I head on. Tess checks me out and I hand over my May pass that I was given for adopting each month and holiday. She checks off each category and hands it back to me, I smile and wave, "See you guys, in a month!" I call. My pets are now all in a carrier as I head home. A driver picks me up and takes me to my loft. In my basement sit my pets, each in a nest of their own. I put my newest babies down and give a smile. The striped horse is something much more than I thought.
